From March 1, 2007, restrictions on carrying duty free liquids on board have been lifted for direct flights; however, restrictions apply for connecting flights.
As products may be confiscated at the connecting airport, we do not sell liquid products to customers on connecting flights.
(Lip gloss, mascaras, liquid eye liners, liquid concealers, creams, and gels are considered to be liquids)
Note, however, that liquid products containing up to 100 ml per product can be carried on board if they are contained loosely in a transparent resealable plastic bag of up to one liter capacity. Each passenger is allowed to carry on one such bag.
* Guide to size of plastic bag: 20 cm by 20 cm max.
* You are expected to provide your own plastic bag.
Introduction of STEBs (Security Tamper-Evident Bags)
When our customers purchase liquids that exceed 100 ml and declare to us that they travel with connecting flights, we pack their purchases in Security Tamper-Evident Bags(STEBs).
We introduced a system to enclose products in STEBs if connecting flight customers purchase 100 ml or more of liquids, but not all countries may accept this precaution.
Please understand that products may be confiscated by the connecting country or officials at their discretion.
*We will not take any responsibility for any troubles. We advise you to confirm with your travel destination or airline staff for yourself.
Carrying Liquids on Board Aircraft
Restrictions on carrying liquids on board international flights
Customers not using connecting flights and bringing purchased liquid duty free products to Japan should place such products in their checked luggage.
Luggage check-ins may be crowded depending on the time of day.
We encourage you to use the duty free pre-ordering service.
